Professor Salzman is a clinical professor of law and a supervising attorney at the Bet Tzedek Legal Services Clinic at the Benjamin N. Cardozo School of Law of Yeshiva University.

Professor Salzman was an attorney at New York Lawyers for the Public Interest, where she specialized in litigation concerning the rights of individuals with physical and mental disabilities. She was also an attorney in the housing unit at South Brooklyn Legal Services and served as Pro Se Law Clerk for the US Court of Appeals for the Second Circuit.
